That's why we need to craft together more often. ;)

Good luck with the painting/reupholstering. I like the idea of pink for a fixture in your booth - I'm sure it will turn out great. If nothing else, slap on a coat of glitter because sparkles make anything look amazing, right?courtney - larking.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08226125721814127732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4891884342716870242.post-85926540425751642262013-05-02T09:03:06.048-05:002013-05-02T09:03:06.048-05:00The whole community thing I LOVE, the critique thi...The whole community thing I LOVE, the critique thing not so much. I think I just realized something while reading this post. When I think of critiques I think of doing them only after the work was already done. Then there is that whole "being so in love with what you've created that you can't see the bad" point that you mentioned. If there had been more critiques while work was being done, or even just started I would have liked them more, but instead I felt like it was all "why did you do that?" and "I would have done this differently" and at that point it's too late. It's making me think that was also one of the major differences between my community college experience and the university experience. The teachers and student community at my 2 year school were much more involved from concept to completion, not just afterward.
More and more it is kind of killing me that you can't come to my house to play around in my studio. Seriously, the cats aren't really allowed in there, so it isn't bad. Although my space is so small. I love the idea that I have my own studio, but times like this make me wish we had a communal studio space, that would be so awesome.robayrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10888891487660838256noreply@blogger.com
