I win the award for never ever taking pictures. Last Saturday night we had our group show in Chicago and I failed to take a single picture of the reception. I did take a few photos the day before of the mini-installation that I did. I really wanted to bring my house but I don't know how to travel with it yet. So I took the opportunity to make a new piece. I brought two suitcases with me and and just started hanging things on the wall. It took me several hours to make it but I really enjoyed it and had fun. I called it "My Bedroom Then and Now."
The reception was a lot of fun. Later that night most of us went to another part of town for another art show hosted by
Drive-by Press. Again I failed to take a single picture. My classmates and I all had work in the show as our school and printmakers from Madison were invited to participate. Saturday night was a fun night filled with art... and a lot of wine.
Glad you at least got a pic of this one :) looking good. A great example of how limits can be an advantage!
ReplyDeleteI like this installation a lot. Also, I normally wouldn't say this, but I really think your profile pic is hysterical.
