Good morning! Today is my last day at work before I go on vacation for a week! I'm going to visit my parents and attend my 10 year high school reunion. It's so crazy to me that it's been 10 years since I was in high school but at the same time it sort of feels like it's been 10 years. Ugh. Not that I feel old. I am looking forward to my thirties. I think I will do them much better than I did my twenties though my twenties have some stories they could tell. ( : Growing up is sort of weird, isn't it? In some ways I would love to go back and be the reckless 21-year-old I used to be but at the same time I would never want to do it again. That's why I feel like I should write young adult fiction. I can just live vicariously through that.
Okay okay so I made the wreath you see above. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I have this goofy way of making crafts. I am always compelled to add a bit of a tacky element and I think the strings and feathers are maybe taking it into that tacky territory? But is it okay?
I am also working on a different kind of wreath and I think when it's done it will look like an award you put on a horse after a race. But instead of a regular horse this would be more of a reward for a My Little Pony... I think it might be mega fabulous slash tacky. Maybe tacky decor can just be my thing. I'm not really trying to be ironic or anything. We'll see how it goes over.
What do you think about the wreath? Too tacky? Or just right?
I hope to be able to blog while I'm on vacation. I'll try to take many neat pictures of neat things. In the meantime have a wonderful week!

the wreathe reminds me of a dream catcher...probably because of the feathers.
make the flower on the wreathe out of feathers and I can't wait to read your young adult fiction.
I wish I was looking forward to my thirties.
Enjoy your vacation & the reunion! I'm totally with you on the contradiction of longing to be young and not wanting to do it over at the same time (just the thought of it makes me tired :). Yes go write that book!
Can't wait to see the horsie award!!
