Inspired

This morning I had not planned a blogpost. I was just going to sit and catch up on blogs while I ate my breakfast. At Strumpet's Crumpet's I clicked play on this video out of curiosity. It's about a little boy who built his own cardboard arcade. She warned readers they would get a bit weepy but I didn't think it could possibly be anything to tear up about. Boy was I wrong. I was full on crying while watching it. But it's the good kind of crying, the kind where you are so happy crying is the only way to express it. And now I have to share it with you!

This little boy was so inventive. It reminds me of how smart and clever children are. I feel like if we are not careful we can really lose so much of that creativity as we grow up. I used to take apart gumball machines and make little scenes inside them. When you turned the quarter slot people would dance inside. I could never imagine making that now because I know I would be so hung up on the details of making it perfect. When you're little you don't care. You just want to get it made.

Let's all try to think like little kids for a while. And make whatever you want to make, imperfections and all.
