So you've seen the house for my thesis show but that's not all I've been working on in my studio. My favorite thing to do when I come in is sit down at my drawing table and work on these tiny pieces. This first image used to be all one piece but I decided cutting it down into sections would make it nicer. Now I can work in to each piece and make it it's own piece. And I've been obsessively making house shaped prints and drawings. I've been going through all my paper scraps and cutting house shapes out of them and then drawing and painting and collaging into them. I hope I have so many of these houses for my show. I'm just not looking forward to framing them. / :

Any suggestions for the work would be very helpful!

I love collage + these are lovely! Are you framing the houses? Maybe you can float them in thick memory box style frames?....I saw Martha Stewart ones on sale at Michael's not long ago. I'm not sure if that's what you meant by suggestions, but there's my 2cents.

Anyway- they are all beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Gorgeous stuff! I'm so glad that I stumbled onto your blog. Oddly enough, in my final year towards a degree in Sculpture, I focused entirely on the iconography of the "home". I'm still rather obsessed with the house shape!

If you're interested, you can see some of my thesis work at www.kristenwulff.ca

Good luck with your pieces!
