Giveaway!!

Since I recently won a giveaway I feel like I should return the giveaway karma in the world and offer my own giveaway. I'm offering this hand-cut piece that is made of screenprint and litho prints. It's about a foot tall. From now until Christmas the comments will be open. Please leave a comment telling me your favorite quote from a Christmas movie. I will use the random number generator on Christmas day to pick a winner!
Good luck and have fun!

My favorite Christmas movie quote comes from The Christmas Story. Randy is totally overdressed for the cold weather and whines, "I can't put my arms down" and his mother replies, "Well you can put your arms down when you get to school."
Classic mom response!

Wonderful piece!

One of my favorite lines A Charlie Brown Christmas (yes, it is STILL a fave of mine!)
Linus: Charlie Brown, you're the only person I know who can take a wonderful season like Christmas and turn it into a problem. Maybe Lucy's right. Of all the Charlie Browns in the world, you're the Charlie Browniest.

hugs & happy holidays

Gah! Have I not watched any Christmas films at all? Ever? :-/ What's wrong with me?

(the above is a quote from a Woody Allen Christmas film. No - just kidding. I have no quote.)

Hey Ann Flowers! That sure is purty.
From Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer:

"Now you can bet that Old Donner felt pretty bad about the way he had treated Rudolph, and he decided the only thing to do was to go out and look for his little buck. Mrs. Donner wanted to go along, naturally, but Donner said, "No. This is man's work."

Hahaha!

I just found you through Paper n Stitch... you have a lovely blog and beautiful work!

I don't know if it's my favorite, but off the top of my head I think of
"Buddy the elf, what's your favorite color?". Elf is moving up the ranks in my top Christmas movies list.

Another papernstitch visitor here :-)

A beautiful Christmas movie: "Love Actually". A lot of cute lines there, but I like this one: "Let's go get the shit kicked out of us by love."

Thanks for returning the giveaway love :-)

This is beautiful! I really love this quote from the Polar Express:

Though I've grown old the bell still rings for me, as it does for all who truly believe.

From the youngest Bailey child in "It's a Wonderful Life" - "Teacher says every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings." I have always loved that!

Tho' it's not quite a nice quote, but it's extremely funny when in the movie 'Home Alone' the gangster Johnny says in the telly that 'Keep the change ya filthy animal!' and Macauley Culkin imitates as if he have said that.

From "The Family Stone" Christmas is not "clothing optional" this year - we have a guest.

From Christmas Vacation:

Todd: Hey Griswold. Where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big?
Clark: Bend over and I'll show you.
Todd: You've got a lot of nerve talking to me like that Griswold.
Clark: I wasn't talking to you.

Mine is from Bad Santa. It is a bit rude so I will censor it. "Kid, what do you want for Christmas?" "Fraggle stick car." "What the f is that?" "Fraggle stick car."

PS Gorgeous work!

Very last minute, but it has to be 'Smiling is my favourite' from Elf, nearly wet myself the first time I saw it. Merry Christmas!!

Susan Walker: If you're really Santa Claus, you can get it for me. And if you can't, you're only a nice man with a white beard like mother says. From Miracle on 34th Street! Love that movie!

I'm another person who loved Elf and his "throne of lies" bit.

Fav Quote: "Scrooged"

stagehand guy: (holding mouse and antlers) We cant get the antlers on this guy. We tried crazy glue, but it don't work.

frank: Did you try staples?

Mine's from the grinch, too!

He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!

Happy Christmas!

"...I'm always frank and earnest with women. In New York I'm Frank. In Chicago I'm Ernest."
-Mitch Henessey (played by Samuel L. Jackson)

From the often overlooked Christmas season set action flick "The Long Kiss Goodnight", it is just too bad the quote doesn't convey the plaid jacket he is wearing in the scene.
